Korea has four seasons; Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter. And every seasons have their special attraction. At Spring, cherry blossom is popular and at Fall, fall foliage is beautiful, and at Winter, of course skiing is the most famous travel attraction.
It is Summer at Korea now, so today, I would like to introduce Hot Place for summer trip in Korea; It is Sokcho.
Sokcho is very good place for travel because it has beautiful Mountain and Beach both. So the purpose of visiting the city is various like hiking, sightseeing, taking a rest, and swimming in blue ocean.
The name of mountain is Seorak which is one of the highest mountains in Korea (Third, actually). It has many courses for hiking and they have different difficulty and different attractions. For people who want to hike difficult course, there are some courses which takes about 14 hours and will make them exhausted. In contrast, for people who just want to enjoy sightseeing, there is also cable car service.
And there is famous traditional market in Sokcho. Many foreign tourists and local Korean visit there for buying some souvenir and food.
Sokcho is also famous for food like sushi, fried chicken, and cold raw fish soup.
So, if you want to exprience various thing during your trip, visiting Sokch will be great option.
