Transportation to Alpensia Ski Resort: Getting to the Ski Area from the Airport or from Seoul

Looking for a hassle-free way to get to Alpensia Ski Resort in Korea? A convenient shuttle bus service can help you out whether you are heading to the slopes from the airport or from Seoul. You can also take the KTX out to Jinbu station then take the free shuttle bus from there to Alpensia.

These are some of your options to get to Alpensia:

1) Incheon Airport/ Gimpo Airport to Alpensia by bus
2) Seoul to Alpensia by bus
3) Incheon Airport/Seoul to Jinbu by KTXJinbu Station to Alpensia by shuttle bus

Incheon Airport/ Gimpo Airport to Alpensia by bus

There are two meeting stops at Incheon Airport depending on which terminal you are in. There is a pick-up spot at Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. There is one pick-up location at Gimpo Airport. The ticket price for an adult is 35,000 KRW and 16,000 KRW for children from 6 to 11 years old. You can use these websites to book your shuttle bus. Make sure you book at least two days in advance to get your seat.

Seoul to Alpensia by bus

You can also take the shuttle bus from four different pick-up points in Seoul. The travel time from Seoul to Alpensia is approximately three hours.

Shuttle Bus Pick-up Locations

  • Hongik University Station (line 2, Airport Railroad, andGyheongui Jungang Line)
  • Sinchon Station (Line 2)
  • Myeongdong Station (Line 4)
  • Sports Complex Station (line 2)

Use these links to book your shuttle bus.

Incheon Airport/Seoul to Jinbu station by KTX
Jinbu station to Alpensia by shuttle bus

If you are heading from Seoul, board the KTX from Cheonyangni Station in Seoul (subway line 1) to take the KTX to Jinbu Station. This takes roughly 1 hour and 20 minutes. If heading to Alpensia from the airport, take the KTX from Incheon International Airport to Jinbu station. This will take approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes. You can buy KTX tickets at the ticketing machines at each station.

There are machines that take international credit cards such as Visa, Mastercard, and more, so you can utilize these if needed.

Once you arrive at Jinbu station (also called Olympic Station because of the Pyeong Chang Winter Olympics), you can find the shuttle bus that goes to Alpensia.

There’s also a fantastic photo opportunity to take a snap with the Olympic mascots, so look in the front of the station for the white tiger and bear mascots! There will be a section with many buses waiting to leave Jinbu station, so look for the sign that says Jinbu station and Yongpyong on the side and front of the shuttle bus.

The shuttle bus leaves every hour and six times a day, so you can utilize the waiting stations or convenience stores at Jinbu station if your KTX arrived sooner. The first bus leaves at 9:30 AM, and the last bus leaves Jinbu station at 7:30 PM. The shuttle bus will take about another hour to arrive at Alpensia.

The bus will look like this with a sign that shows it drives from Yongpyong to Jinbu Station. You will have to show proof of your visit to Alpensia before boarding the shuttle bus. A mobile reservation ticket or a printed version of the ticket for Alpensia will work.

SKI TOUR in KOREA @ VIVALDI RESORT - How to get to Vivaldi Park ski resort.

How to get to Vivaldi Park ski resort from Seoul in korea

For many foreigners, one of the most fearful things is transportation. Because the public transportations are so complex that even the local living in Korea have difficulty with using public transportation like bus or train without searching internet or using applications operated by Korean language. Needless to say, it is vary difficult for foreign tourists who are unfamiliar with Korea to use public transportation to go to ski resorts from Seoul.

Of course, the local don't use this way because they can be gathered with friends and use their car.
On the other hand, can foreign tourists use their own car? Definitely not.

Then, there are 2 options for foreigners to go to ski resorts.
1. Borrowing Private Van by travel agency
2. Taking shuttle bus only for foreigners run by ski resort

Priviate Van is operated travel agency

In case of option 1, you can borrow Starex, a sort of van, costing 230.000 won for one-way from Seoul to Deamyung Vivaldi Park. It will make you very comfortable and be good way to tour.
but Private Van can be expensive for Foreigner and people who enjoy the day ski tour.
